Bio

Hello Students and Parents!

I am Mr. Prest and I teach 7th and 8th grade Social Studies at Albert Hill. I graduated from Virginia Tech in 2011 with a degree in History and a degree in Classics. I received my Masters in Teaching from VCU in 2013. I am die-hard Hokie, and you should see some of that pride reflected in my room.

At VCU I participated in the Richmond Teacher Residency program, and was able to student teach for an entire year at Elkhardt Middle School. I then went on to teach two more years at Elkhardt, until I found my way to Albert Hill where I am teaching for the second year.

I am a history enthusiast and I am able pull facts and trivia from thin air. I was top of my History class at Virginia Tech, and I cannot wait to share my experience and enthusiasm for history with you. We are going to have an excellent year, and we will be doing a lot of engaging, interactive things in class.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my wife Callie and our crazy Pug named Tuggy. In terms of hobbies: I juggle, I play golf and disc golf, I love to read, I fish, I cook, and I also enjoy a good video game.

I look forward to a great year!
